This is probably one of my favorite finds ever in the history of my shop!
Here you have a super amazing, unique and rare lot of Japanese Ink Painting supplies, all packed up into a worn out vintage Lincoln De Luxe briefcase.
It was owned by Anita(her name is in the book), and it was loved.
Included in the kit we have:
-Purple and green stripe painting smock with two pockets, tie back and floral accents. One of the ties is a bit bedraggled on the end, bot other than that it is in surprisingly good condition.
-Book: Japanese Ink Painting: Lessons in Suiboku Technique by Ryukyu Saito
-Book: Japanese Ink Painting art examples, printed 1977
-Full 18-Color Set of Japanese Watercolors in box(some colors are cracked but still usable)
-Beautiful ink stick with floral design in original box
-Ink stone with box
-Two steel paperweights for paper ends
-Rolls of Rice Paper for Ink Painting-A nice big roll to get you started and a smaller piece in plastic
-A long paper book for calligraphy practice
-A pad of practice/sketch paper
-5 Bamboo brushes in a lovely woven bamboo brush roll with a purple tassle tie
-One painting block canvas on foam board
-Collection of vintage drawing pencils, charcoal pencils, blending tools, erasers and a sharpener
-One small ceramic/three plastic dishes for watercolor painting
-Piece of white flannel cloth for protecting your painting surface
This is a one of a kind find, and is perfect for any traditional calligraphy artist or aspiring Suki-e painter!
Please message me with further questions. I would strongly prefer to keep this set together, so please keep that in mind. This is a collection that was owned by someone who loved it, and it would be wonderful for someone who could continue that legacy.
Please also see photos for more details and information-everything included is shown.
