Choose from one of three rustic and rugged vintage canteens for display or use:
1952 Army Canteen- This would probably be better for display as the cork in the cap is a bit worn out. A metal tag on the cap chain says "82". Canteen is a bit scratched up but otherwise in good condition and reads" US Mirro 1952". Cap is bakelite. Case is lined. Measures 7.75" tall, 3.5" wide and 5.5" long when in the case.
Boy Scout Canteen- This is a 1 quart canteen that was used and labeled by a family-it has the names "Don" "Osias" and "Moira" on the cloth case. Although obviously well used, the strap and case is in good condition and the cap works great. The aluminum canteen has "Pat Osias" etched on both sides. Measures 7.5" in diameter and is 2" thick when the case is on.
Palco 2 Quart-er- This is also in good shape with a well worn but sturdy case and strap, with some rust on the buttons and the names "Duncanson" and "Evan Osias" written on front and back. The metal canteen also says "Duncanson" and was made by the Worcester Pressed Aluminum Company and has a few dents but they do not appear to compromise its water holding capabilities.
Measures 7.5" in diameter and is 3" wide with the case on.
